Production and Technological Capabilities 

The production and technological capabilities provide a complete product life cycle:

development – tests - batch manufacturing - warranty and post-warranty service.

The enterprise’s strategy is aimed at the continuous development of production, its technical and program re-equipment, the development of new manufacturing technologies, which permits developing of new high-technology goods and new market outlets.

Manufacturing Technologies:

• Preparation production (about 950 brands of materials are processed).

• Tool production.

• Fine mechanics. Mechanical assembly and assembly production of communications electronics equipment (CEE).

• Manufacture of wire-wrap articles, harnesses and cables for interblock connections.

• Manufacture of printed circuit boards. Galvanizing and paint-and-varnish production.
• Manufacture of UHF assembly units and wave propagation systems of rectangular and variable cross-sections for various frequency ranges (including ultra-high and extremely high frequency ranges).

• Microelectronics: hybrid, thin-film, and thick-film ones.

• Various modes of article testing.

Basic Instrument Making Technologies

• Manufacture of micromechanical parts of irregular shapes with fine precision;
• Manufacture of UHF assembly units and wave propagation systems of rectangular and variable cross-sections for various frequency ranges (including ultra-high and extremely high frequency ranges);

• Manufacture of high-frequency and low-frequency non-conductors;

• Manufacture of vacuum-tight ceramics for sealed adapters and all-glass joints;

• Manufacture of integrated high-pin circuit packages;

• Processing of miniature heavily magnetized magnets made of rare-earth materials;

• Production of bellows of various materials with the wall thickness of up to 50 µm and diaphragms with the thickness comparable with the grain size of the materials.

Tool Production 

We produce accessories and die molds, mold tools, cutting instrumentation and thread-rolling tools, calibrating devices, and collets.

We carry out orders according to customers’ drawings and perform integrated equipping of production operations of machine-building and instrument-making enterprises with tools and accessories.

Machining Production 

The machining workshops provide fine precision and smoothness of surfaces of processed materials:

• non-ferrous alloys (based on aluminum, copper, magnesium, titanium);
• steels (including stainless, high-cutting and tool ones);
• zirconium, molybdenum, nickel, magnetic alloys, and others.

PC Start has over 15 procedures of sheet material processing. The procedures of over 20 types of welding operations and all types of soldering have been developed at the enterprise, including such as laser, electron-beam, argon-arc welding, vacuum brazing, and brazing in protecting atmosphere.

Microelectronic Production 

The following types of work are performed in the shops:

• vacuum deposition of resistive, conducting and dielectric materials;

• photolithographic processing and electroplating of micro cards;

• manufacture of photo accessories;

• diamond and laser machining of polycor, glass ceramics and ceramics; cutting of sophisticated geometric shapes;

• sealing of micro-units and assembly units of hybrid functional micro-units (HFM) with laser, electron-beam and argon-arc welding and brazing with filling internal volumes with mixture inert gases in various proportions followed by a leak-tightness check and with residual moisture of not more than 5,000 ppm;

• automatic testing of micro units.

The enterprise has successfully introduced the procedures of assembling of low-frequency and ultra high frequency (LF and UHF) hybrid thick- and thin-film articles of the microelectronics.

The works on manufacture of hybrid microelectronic products in the rooms of cleanliness levels 6 and 7 according to ISО 14644-1 are performed in the enterprise.

PC Start is a member of the Electronic Equipment and Instruments Manufacturers Association, and ready to produce a complete complex of works on contract manufacturing of electronics:

• development and manufacture of printed circuit boards;

• surface-mounted assembly;

• purchase and incoming inspection of electronic components.

Test Base

High quality of products is provided with the result of carrying out all test types in the scientific research and instrumentation divisions equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment:

• Periodic and Special Tests Department (PSTD);

• Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Laboratory (EMC);

• Electronic Component Base (ECB) Incoming Inspection Complex;

• Research Laboratory;

• Metrological Service;

• Test Site of Engineered Security Facilities, which allows performing all test types in real weather conditions.

The Quality Management System has been developed on the basis of the ISO 9000 international standards.
